About Me

     My name is Mrs. Bennett. I graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a bachelor's degree in Art Education.  I was an elementary art teacher in Carthage, MO for the last two years. I am currently working on my master's degree in Educational Technology from Missouri State University. I also recently became the art teacher at Pearl Stephens Elementary.

Philosophy

     I truly believe that every student has an "artist" inside them. However, I also know that some students lack the confidence to explore their creativity. I want to encourage all students when it comes to art. My hope is that they will feel comfortable enough in my class to take those chances and express their creativity through art. 

 

     I also know that each student learns differently and needs indivdual help when it comes to art. While some students need to be given simple guidelines and then allowed to use those guidelines on their own; other students may need to be given step-by-step instructions with more individual help. I want to help every student find sucess in the art room.
